What is best way to kill weeds that come up through landscape fabric?
I planted a beautiful pear tree in my backyard, and I put a bunch of those river rock stones around the tree. My guess is that it is a good 10-12 feet in diameter. I purchased landscape fabric and layed that down around the tree, and under the river rocks.
If I have to say so myself, I did a really good job, and it looks beautiful, but grass is growing up through the landscape fabric. Each year it has gotten worse and it is sticking out through my river rocks.
Will a product like RoundUp work, or is there a chance it will kill the tree? Obviously, I am just trying to kill the grass and not the tree, but I do not know what to use.
